When I was having sex for the first time my body got all tingly? *mature answers please?

So I'm a girl and I recently lost my virginity. And yes I am old enough and we used protection. But while we were doing it, my hands started feeling numb and tingly. Like your foot does when it's asleep. Then the feeling moved up my arms and even to my chin and teeth. It felt soo weird and I was worried something wrong was happening. Does anyone know why this was happening? And if it'll happen every time? Thankss :)
